MG Vadodara International Marathon powered by Joy e-bikes is all set for 7th January 2024 with the 11th edition of the marathon. The MG Vadodara International Marathon ranks among the top 10 marathon majors in India. This international marathon will see the presence of national and international runners in Vadodara in which around 40 athletes from countries around the world like Nigeria, Ethiopia, Somalia, USA, UK, Brazil and various African countries will participate in the marathon.
The 11th edition of MGVM2024 is Gujarat's largest heritage marathon and will also feature Torch of seva runners (sankalpdharunviros) who are running for charity with the message of various social causes. This year, MG Motor India is making the marathon even more memorable by associating with the Vadodara International Marathon as its main sponsor for the seventh time.

MGVM 2024 Powered By Joy e-Bike is showcasing the message of the Hon'ble Prime Minister with the theme of "Sustainability" this year and reinforces the Vadodara Marathon's ethos of promoting running for fitness in the city of Vadodara for nearly a decade. The 11th edition of MG Vadodara Marathon powered by Joy e-bikes will be flagged off by Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel. He will be accompanied by Mr. Harsh Sanghvi, Minister of State for Home, Sports, Culture and Youth, who will flag off the time run at 4:30 am and Hon. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel will flag off Swachhta Run, Pledge Run and Fun Run at 7:30 am. An accomplished half marathoner, Minister Shri Harsh Sanghvi has agreed to run the 5 km race this year as well as last year. MGVM 2024 powered by Joy e-Bike is organizing the Divyang Paralympic Run with over 1500 registrations out of which 20 are prosthetic leg athletes.
This year a record breaking of 1,30,000 runners have registered for the 11th edition of MGVM Powered by Joy e-Bike and will participate in full marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km time run and pass by the heritage buildings of Vadodara city. They will also participate in a 5 km fun run on the route. This Sunday marathon will see heritage points like Mandvi Gate, Ravpura Tower, Sursagar Lake, Nyayamandir. A river of runners will be seen flowing through the streets behind the old monuments in the old city, making this Gujarat's largest heritage marathon.
Stating this, MG Vadodara Marathon Chairperson Smt. Tejal Amin said, 'The 11th edition of Vadodara Marathon establishes Vadodara as part of the heritage of sports and fitness. To make the Vadodara Marathon more attractive this year, the star cast of Gujarati film "Danny Jigar" superstar Yash Soni and actress Tarjani Bhadla and Hindi film actress Ada Sharma will also be specially present to encourage the marathon runners said Tejal Amin.

MG Vadodara International Marathon Powered by Joy e-Bike is setting new benchmarks in runner comfort and safety by introducing a team of CPR trained volunteers ready to meet any race emergency. A group of volunteers have been trained in a special training session organized by Bhailal Amin General Hospital.
Speaking on this, Mr. Sameer Khera, Co-Chairperson, Vadodara Marathon said, "MG Vadodara Marathon takes pride in being able to provide the best running facilities for the participants year after year. This year too, we have set the benchmark higher by adding improvements to it. The technical areas and growing 'race experience' include a team of cyclists and our CPR volunteers who will manage the entire route, medical booths will be placed along the route as per international route requirements, as well as a team of 28 pacers, which will help both professional and amateur runners to finish a race in a certain time or set a personal record"
The prestigious Vadodara International Marathon is a member of AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) and the 10th edition is certified by AFI (Athletic Federation of India) and under the technical supervision of BDAAA (Baroda District Amateur Athletic Association).
Vadodara Marathon is also affiliated with the Sports Authority of India. Dr. AFI. Kuldeep Singh has been assigned the ranking for the 11th edition. Mr. Virender Singh has been nominated as Race Director by AFI.
