Individuals, families, businesses and governments around the world have been impacted, with millions of people directly and indirectly affected by the Coronavirus. The death toll across the world has been steadily climbing, alongside the number of patients recovering from the virus.
Medical advisories, as laid down by WHO and governments around the world, clearly outline the crucial importance of staying healthy and physically fit, to increase individual immunity and general health, as a preventive; along with practising social distancing protocols, wearing mask and washing or sanitizing one’s hands regularly. Along with a balanced diet, proper nutrition and adequate rest, exercise is a must in everyone’s daily regimen, to stay healthy.
Running is a practical and universal form of physical fitness; one can run anywhere, anytime. From running on the roads, parks and public places, to running within the home, garden, roof or terrace, or doing on-the-spot running, or on the treadmill- running is most versatile, even with lockdown restrictions.
While the pandemic has changed our lives, the world has witnessed how the indomitable human spirit has risen to face these unprecedented challenges. Vadodara Marathon is deeply honoured to present the first ever “MGVM Virtual Marathon”, a virtual marathon for everyone, anywhere, anytime from 4th to 10th January 2021!
Team Vadodara Marathon dedicates our “MGVM Virtual Marathon” to all the frontline medical workers, emergency personnel, essential services personnel, and all the patients battling the virus currently, those who have recovered and the families of those who have lost their lives to Covid-19.
