Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, restrictions, sanctions and/or curfew/lockdown may be in place, or may come to be announced, during the period in which the Virtual Marathon is to take place.
These restrictions may apply to running on the roads and/or in public spaces. It is solely the runner’s responsibility to follow all the government guidelines and regulations, that may be in place at the time.
All participants should comply with guidelines in relation to COVID19 advisory issued by respective union, state and/or local administrations.
It is solely the runner’s responsibility to ensure he/she is in good health and is medically fit to run the distance he/she has registered for. All or any symptoms of ill-health, including but not limited to symptoms of Coronavirus, must be referred to an authorized medical practitioner, and treated accordingly. Any runner, who has recovered from Covid-19, must get the authorization from a medical practitioner, to certify his/her health and fitness before running.
It is solely the runner’s responsibility for wearing/not wearing a mask and taking other required precautions when running, as per the government regulations and medical advisories in place at the time.
VM does not accept or entertain any liabilities arising from accidents/ injuries for any participant owing to his/ her circumstances or conditions under which they are undertaking the virtual run at their chosen location.
All participants must be medically fit and able-bodied to run the distance.
Full Marathon and Half Marathon: 18+ years old, born before or by 31 December 2002
10.25Km Quarter Marathon, 10.25Km Quarter Walkathon, 5Km Swachhata Run, and 5Km Swachhata Walk: 12+ years old, born before or by 31 December 2008
In case of children between ages 12-17 years (born before or by 31 December 2008) who wish to participate in the Kids Run, 5Km or 10Km Races, registration must be submitted by the parent/guardian who is exercising parental responsibility. By submitting the relevant entry form, the consent of the parent/guardian exercising parental responsibility for the participation of the child in the event is assumed and considered final.
Children below 12 years of age (born on or after 1 January 2009) are not allowed to participate in any of the races.
Participants are fully aware of and understand the risks involved in their participation in the race, including but not limited to health, incidents and/or accidents.
Participants understand and agree that there is a health risk associated with running in public places or in a group, with relation to Covid-19. Participants choose to register for this event with full understanding of the risk; and in this framework, the Organizing Committee bears no responsibility in case of any potential damage of their health.
Only runners that have dulyfinished registration process in time, will be allowed to participate in the MG Vadodara Marathon Virtual Marathon races.
Every runner participates in the event at his/her own free will.
Every runner participates in the event on his/her own responsibility and bears full responsibility as to his/her fitness condition and ability to participate.
The Organizing Committee of the event carry no responsibility in case of injury, damage, or any other harm that may be caused by participating, or being spectators at the event.
All participants must respect and follow the regulations of the event, before, during, and after the race.
The event will take place from 4th January to 10th January 2021, as announced, regardless of weather conditions and/or other considerations related to Covid-19 pandemic and the like.
However, in certain exceptional circumstances or force majeure incidents, the Organizing Committeeretains the right to make decisions regarding postponement of the start time, or cancellation of the event, at the last moment. In such cases, the registration fee will not be refunded to the registered runners.
The Organizing Committee of the event has the right to change the event’s schedule, the terms and conditions regarding participation and staging of the event, without prior notice, by posting such a decision on the website of MGVM and/or on social media for the event.
The personal data declared by the participant, upon submission of entry form,is expected to be true and correct. In case the entry form is submitted by a third party, it is expected that the participant consents to his/her personal data being given by the third party to the Organizing Committee.
Participants agree that their personal data will be given by the Organizing Committee to certain third parties for reasons related to timing, results' ranking and for purpose of announcements on website, social media, press and media. Participants fully understand, agree and consent to their personal data, required during the registration procedure, being stored and used for purposesrelated to the Marathon, as required and deemed necessary by the Organizing Committee.
Participants who pay for the entry fee via card (credit/debit/prepaid) consent to their personal data being transmitted to the Bank, for reasons strictly related to the execution of the relevant transaction.
Participants consent to the use of their image/s taken during the race by the organizers, sponsors, or other partners of the event, for promotional purposes, with no right to any compensation, in full or partial, for that reason.
By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, the participant consents to his/her photos being taken by the event's photographers and the Official Photo Agency of the event. The event may be filmed, recorded and exploited by means of television, film, video or some other broadcast or media format. The participant agrees to the use and reproduction of his/her name, likeness, appearance and photograph. All such commercial rights in relation to the above belong entirely to MG Vadodara Marathon. The participant has no proprietary rights in relation to any film, photograph or other such recorded media, nor right to claim full or partial compensation for that reason.
The photos and videos of the participants may be uploaded on the website of MG Vadodara Marathon, and/or the Official Photo Agency of the event, where they will be visible to the public; and remain as such without time limitation, according to the contractual obligations of MG Vadodara Marathon. Photographs may be purchased online following the event, through the website of the event's official Photo Agency. In any case, the participant may contact the Organizers for any issues related to the processing stated in the current clause/paragraph.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to suspend, or close registrations without prior notice.
Registration to any of the event’s races is possible only through the online registration platform available in the official event’s website, or by any alternative way indicated by the Organizing Committee.
A registration is considered valid on the condition that it has been successfully submitted as stated above and that the registration fee, as determined on the date of registration, is successfully paid, while the amount of the registration fee has been credited to the Organizer’s bank account.
Registration/s to any of event’s races, for which the full registration fee has not been paid within two (2) working days after the date that the entry form has been submitted, will stand cancelled with no prior notice.
Any changes on confirmed registrations (runners’ replacement, change of race etc.) is not possible under any circumstances after the closure of registration period, for any of the event’s races, or after a certain date determined by the Organizing Committee.
Cancellation of confirmed registrations is only possible in accordance to the cancellation policy of the event, as indicated in the designated section of the official website of the event.
Post confirmation of the registration, no further change regarding the selected t-shirt size of the runner is possible (in case of confirmed registration in the Advanced or Full Registration Level).
Participants are obliged to strictly follow the instructions of the organizers, volunteers, and event’s staff, including calls to abandon the course and stop the race.
j. Any breach or non-compliance with the race regulations announced by the Organizing Committee may result in the disqualification of the participant from the event and erasure from the race results, without any kind of compensation or refund of entry fee.
k. The race bib/number assigned to a participant is personal and meant only for the registered participant. It cannot be conveyed, transferred, or given to another runner under any circumstances.
Participants are obliged to read and respect the instructions provided by the Organizing Committee of the event, either electronically, or in printed format (such as Medical & Technical Instructions, Race Manual) and which have been announced in the official website of the event.
Use of bicycle or any otherwheeled conveyance is not allowed on the race course, whether it is used by a runner, or another accompanying person. In such case, the participant will be excluded from the race and called upon to withdraw from the event.
The time limit to finish the Marathon Race is set as per given table on the website. If race is not completed within the cut off time, the same race will be considered as Walk (Walkathon).
The time limit to finish the 10km Road Race is set to 90 minutes from the start time of the race.
